Leave Plants in a Sink or Tub Of Water When Away for Worry-Free Watering [Household]
If you're headed away from home for a few days, there's no reason to ask a friend to come visit and regularly water your plants when you could fill a sink or bathtub with an inch or two water and let your plants water themselves instead.
This trick only works if your plants don't really need sunlight, or if your bathroom or kitchen gets good enough sunlight that your plants won't miss it when you're away. Just an inch or two of water and your plants can take care of themselves.
We've discussed how you can use cotton strips for no-fuss watering, but this method is a bit easier and doesn't require as much setup before you leave for your trip. What are some of your favorite ways to keep your plants healthy when you're away? Share your tips in the comments.

Why You Might be Failing in Your Mlm or Network Marketing Business ...
Imagine yourself waking up well-rested around ten o?clock in the morning, sitting in your pajamas at the table for breakfast and the news, then heading upstairs to work. This might seem like an unreachable dream; however, in America today fifty-two percent of firms and small businesses are home based.
This reality is brought about by the fact that home based business owners enjoy more freedom, flexibility, and control when it comes to their business dealings. While being a home-based business owner takes the ability to handle many responsibilities, it comes with so many advantages.
The home-based business life is one of many joys accompanied by few troubles. The owner of this small business must be committed to seeing it all the way through its success, from beginning to end. This includes having the ability to recognize that this type of job is like any other, in that it provides the necessary income for a comfortable life. It should be treated as such.
Having a business at home can come with many distractions, like kids playing downstairs, neighbors wanting to stop by, or the spouse wanting to talk. Home-based business owners must be persistent in making sure everyone around them knows that they are running a legitimate business and therefore cannot tolerate unnecessary distractions. It is important that everyone, including the owner, takes this seriously. It can make the difference between an entrepreneur?s business being in the hard-working fifty percent to last longer than four years, and the unfortunate half who do not.
As owners of small businesses, entrepreneurs must also learn how to assess the success of a business financially. Usually, those who manage household finances well will also handle this well. Basically, one must ensure that the income always outweighs the expenses of the business. How hard a person must work will depend on how much money they want to make. The opportunities are endless.
An important note is that one can make as much money as they want to but if they mismanage it, all of the work will all be in vain. Learning to manage business finances can be as simple as setting a monthly goal and tracking it, or hiring an accountant. Either way, the entrepreneur is taking this task upon his or herself. There is no longer a manager, boss, or finances department to handle these behind-the-scenes tasks.
Once a person has made a commitment to their goals of owning a home-based business, they can begin preparing for the flexibility and success that comes with it. Most important to its success is the commitment to treating this job just like any other legitimate office job. However the advantage is that all of the profits go to the owner, and they reap all the benefits. It is a great opportunity to take charge of one?s happiness, success, and career future!

Allen Matkins and UCLA Anderson Forecast: CA Commercial Real Estate
Press Release?Source: UCLA Anderson School of Management
?
LOS ANGELES?(BUSINESS WIRE)? The latest Allen Matkins/UCLA Anderson Forecast California Commercial Real Estate Survey provides clues to current CRE asset prices and a turn around in the market. over the past 18 months Class A commercial real estate values have increased to near peak levels. The increase is not supported by the current rental and occupancy rates. This rise in asset prices is either an indicator of investor expectations of improving fundamentals over the next three to four years or the beginning of a new asset bubble. The June 2011 Allen Matkins UCLA Anderson Forecast California Commercial Real Estate Survey, a forward-looking survey of commercial real estate developers, is consistent with an expected improvement in fundamentals.
?
The Survey found developer optimism increasing in major markets in California with respect to both vacancies and rents, an improvement that would, at least in part, justify higher asset prices. On a regional basis the Survey showed the San Francisco and Silicon Valley office markets as the most likely to be the first to turn the corner with new commercial construction, with Los Angeles and San Diego not far behind. The Survey reports an expected improvement in industrial markets correlated with the pattern of growth in manufacturing and particularly in Silicon Valley and Orange County.
?
?Optimism with respect to office and industrial market fundamentals in 2013 and 2014, which first appeared a year ago, is an important precursor to the re-start of commercial construction,? said Jerry Nickelsburg, senior economist, UCLA Anderson Forecast. Nickelsburg added, ?While the overall sluggishness of the general economic recovery will engender a slow recovery in commercial real estate as well, the prospects are improving.?
?
The Allen Matkins/UCLA Anderson Forecast California Commercial Real Estate Survey and Index Research Project polled a panel of California real estate professionals in the office space and investment market, and asked a series of questions on various aspects of the commercial real estate market. It was initiated by Allen Matkins in 2006, to further the firm?s desire to improve the quality and frequency of available market information and forecasts of commercial real estate. The Index is comprised of a survey of commercial real estate developers in each of San Diego, Orange County, Los Angeles, the East Bay, San Francisco and Silicon Valley.
