63131 Essentials of Hardware and Operating Systems, Section A
This CompTIA A+ Essentials course is the first of two course recommended for everyone seeking A+ certification. Successful completion of the course validates knowledge of basic computer hardware and operating systems, including how to install, build, upgrade, repair, configure, troubleshoot, optimize, diagnose and perform preventive maintenance. Customer service and security skills are also covered. Course materials include test review materials, practice test software. Note: Exam Voucher is included when you complete 63131 and 63134, valid for 6 months upon completion of both classes. NOTE: It is recommended that you take both A+ classes prior to taking the exams. Prerequisites: Some computer experience using command prompt interfaces.

63134 Hardware Repair and Troubleshooting, Section A
This CompTIA A+ course is the second and final A+ course for those who want more emphasis on computer repair and troubleshooting and less emphasis on in-person customer interaction. Work related scenarios such as bench work are emphasized. Note: Exam voucher is included when you complete 63131 and 63134, valid for 6 months upon completion of both classes. NOTE: It is recommended that you take both A+ classes prior to taking the exams. Prerequisite: 63131.

63312 Network Support (Network+), Section A
Learn how to configure network adapters, protocols, and services to allow communication between computers. This course covers the OSI model, network topologies, Ethernet, the TCP/IP protocol suite, sub-netting, and WAN technologies. Learn to use these technologies to effectively administer a network, share resources, troubleshoot, and solve connectivity problems. Note: Exam voucher is included, valid for 6 months upon completion of the class. Prerequisites: network experience, and an understanding of binary concepts.

63511 Security+, Section A
Learn general computer security concepts, and gain an understanding of the various forms of security threats. Topics include wireless technology and security, and the basic network concepts of firewalls, routers, switches, and hubs. Review NAT, VLANs, and RAS. Review algorithms, concepts of using cryptography, PKI, standards, protocols, and Key Management/Certificate Lifecycle. Includes Security + voucher. Suggested: 63312 or one year of network experience.
