Description:
Responsible for auditing of all HR Benefits programs to ensure compliance with university and regulatory requirements. Incumbent will propose changes in processes, systems or training.
Qualifications:
Minimum:
- Education: Undergraduate degree in business, Human
Resources, HRIS or equivalent; or equivalent experience.
- Experience: Three or more years experience, including previous benefit
plan administration experience
- Skills: Broad understanding of Benefits programs and related compliance, process and regulatory
issues. Analytical, organizational and communication skills. Demonstrated knowledge of Excel and related Office Software.
- Physical
Mobility: Periodically travel on and off campus to attend meetings
- Environmental Conditions: Normal office environment.
- Mental: Ability to deal with unexpected challenges quickly and efficiently. Must be able to deal with difficult customers in a positive
and proactive manner. Ability to successfully manage conflicting and multiple priorities. Must maintain confidentiality.
- Other: The successful candidate must submit to a thorough background check including: County Criminal Record, Social Security Number, Credit History and Education Verification.
- Licenses: CEBS or SHRM designation
- Experience: Five or more years experience with Health and Welfare benefits in a higher education setting.
- Skills: Experience presenting to groups.
