Habitat for Humanity plans a building blitz for tornado stricken areas

HENRYVILLE, IN (WAVE) - Habitat for Humanity plans to build 19 new homes for Henryville and Chelsea families misplaced by the March tornado outbreak.

Habitat is recruiting 3,000 volunteers for a building blitz planned for September 10-14.

Nearly half of the money for the almost $2 million project will come from a Federal Disaster Recovery grant. The rest will come from donations.

The March tornados killed 13 people in southern Indiana.
